The AHF can offer a variety of activities to support and empower refugees. These activities can address various aspects of their well-being, and integration, to reach self-sufficiency. Here are some examples of AHF’s activities that our customers are benefiting of them:
1. Language and Literacy Classes: AHF Offers language classes to help refugees learn English and remove language barriers, which is essential for their integration and communication in the community. Literacy programs can also be provided to improve reading and writing skills.

2. Vocational Training and Job Search Workshops: AHF Provide vocational training programs and workshops to improve refugees’ capacity with skills that are in demand in the local job market. This could include job search strategies, resume writing, interview skills, and specific vocational training based on local industry needs.

3. Cultural Orientation and Integration Activities: AHF Organizes cultural orientation sessions to familiarize refugees with the customs, traditions, and social norms of the community. Conduct integration activities that promote cross-cultural understanding and interaction between refugees and the local community.

4. Community Support Groups: AHF Establish support groups where refugees can connect with others who share similar experiences. These groups provide a safe space for sharing challenges, seeking advice, and building a sense of community and belonging.

5. Educational Support for Children and Youth: AHF Offers tutoring programs, homework assistance, and educational support to refugee children and youth. Provide mentoring or academic counseling to help them succeed in their education and navigate the education system of the host country. Also, AHF provides home language courses for refugees’ children to keep active home language.

6. Health and Well-being Services: AHF Provides access to healthcare services, including medical check-ups, vaccinations, and mental health support. Organize workshops or informational sessions on health topics, hygiene practices, and stress management.

7. Recreation and Sports Programs: AHF Offer recreational activities and sports programs to promote physical health, team-building, and social interaction among refugees. This could include soccer leagues, volleyball leagues and tournaments, yoga classes, art workshops, or cultural events.

8. Legal Aid and Immigration Services: AHF Provide legal assistance and immigration support to help refugees navigate the complex legal processes and paperwork. Offer workshops on rights and responsibilities, citizenship applications, and legal information sessions. Collaboration with legal agencies to provide better service for refugees.

9. Financial Literacy and Entrepreneurship Training: AHF Conduct workshops on financial literacy, budgeting, and money management to empower refugees with financial skills. Additionally, provide entrepreneurship training and mentorship to support refugees in starting their own businesses.

10. Advocacy and Awareness Campaigns: AHF Engage in advocacy efforts to raise awareness about refugee issues and advocate for policies that support their rights and well-being. Conduct public campaigns, media outreach, and community events to promote understanding, empathy, and inclusion.

11. Interpretation services: AHF provides interpretation for refugees and newcomers. Provide and facilitates interpretation for refuges during appointment, completing the County’s reporting forms, applying for aids, enrolling in school and… etc.

12. Supporting refuges to provide their monthly report to the county on time and accurately to avoid cutting of their aids.
